I believe this is something many of you could do if it's done the right way. HOPE THIS HELPS! I attempted to breakdown A LOT of info in this video.. I feel like I could have done 4 or 5 videos covering each of t...

Thank you for this video. Its the last week of the semester, walls I didn't even know existed are crashing in on me, and I'm riding the edge of complete mental breakdown. I really need to let go of the idea that any single failure is permanent and not an option.

@@blue55633 I don't have a job. I was thinking about studying the Latin language, but my mother talked me out of that by saying I won't be able to find a job with that degree. Now I not only don't have a job, I also don't have mental health. Had I studied Latin, or something that interests me, I think I would still have mental health.

I am an elec eng, it has been a great career for 26 years now, around 3rd year I was finding most EE subjects pretty hard, and did two business subjects, and 2 civil/mech eng subjects, I found them so easy it was like a holiday, thankfully they counted toward my ultimate EE degree.

Bro, I don't know what to do. I’m a junior RN. I’ve cheated a lot and barely know anything. I don’t plan on taking any hard majors or classes in college. but I’m still really scared. If I actually put in work right now, do you think I’ll be able to pull through? I just really want to do better, but I’m scared that it’s too late.

If everyone could do it everyone would do it. Its dangerous to give false hope. Not everyone is cut out for it, simple as that. The stuff covered is hard and a lot and the exams are difficult. Its impossible and quite delusional to think that everyone is smart enouh for this.

Just graduated from university 6 months ago. I remember watching this video 2 years ago during COVID when I was really questioning my ability to make it through school. Your comments on mentality and how 2 extra years of school would not matter as much in the grand scheme of things relieved a lot of the pressure and doubt I was feeling. I passed everything with a job right out of college. To anyone who’s reading this, you WILL have moments of doubt when doing engineering. It’s a difficult field, and it will have many hurdles and challenges for you to overcome. Don’t allow those challenges to make you feel discouraged from pursuing this career path. As long as you maintain a good mentality and strong work ethic, you can make it through engineering without a doubt!

I'm currently in my first semester as a sophomore in engineering, and I'm absolutely miserable. I'm depressed and have no time to do anything, and I'm having suicidal thoughts. You might ask how I ended up there. Well, I was torn between engineering and finance. I have loved finance since I was a teenager, and I know more stuff in the world of finance and business, but I was convinced to do engineering because there are more jobs and it pays well. I even have a small interest in it, but I figured it was not enough for me to do it as a career or maybe as a hobby. Idk, but I was foolish when I thought that it would teach me how to be creative and embrace that side of me. Boy, I was wrong. All I got was bad marks, depression, and sore hands from "free hand sketching." That was totally fairly graded.

Question from those with more study experience, if you learn something in class is it better to recap it later that same day or recap it the day after? I guess the same day means it's real fresh so you won't forget. Doing it on the next day means it isn't as fresh, but you have a nights sleep between so your brain may be more geared up to remember it on a long time frame. What do we think is the better option to maximise productivity if you have little spare time to study (please don't say both, lol, I know both is obvs going to be the best)?

In my experience if u go step by step, neither mathematics, statistics, economics , computer science courses nor engineering is difficult. It becomes difficult only if u jump into a class without meeting the prerequisites requirements listed in the catalog provided at the beginning of quarter or semester.

I have been in mechanical engineering for 2 semesters now, I failed 2 of my classes the first semester, and all of my classes this semester, I was just not motivated to do anything.. I'm not sure anymore, even went trough the acceptance that it was ok if it took me a few years longer than others, but now I just want to find a job at my hometown for a year or two so I can get a new perspective on my life forward and maybe go back to school and finish what I started later. I never wanted to be an engineer, did not even know what an engineer does. I just sorta took my parents advice to do it. They tell me its okay if I want to quit, but that it would be a shame since I have all the time I could need to finish it, even if I took 1 or 2 classes a semester, as long as I got it finished. My thoughts are all over the place about this, I even have my last exam in 4 days, and I have not done nearly anything to prepare for it. ... 02:30 now, I'm tired.. idk anymore.

Im over 35 and not getting any younger. I worked as a surveyor and run a business i love doing both. Civil?

I started studying civil engineering to become good at solving problems and be able to design my own products, but I have never really been interested in the actual field of engineering. I mean computers and stuff are cool, but I mostly picked it for the money, hoping the skills I'll learn will be useful if I start my own business, and if not I can fall back to working as an engineer. But yeah, my heart isn't exactly in it, it's just something I have to do to reach the next step, I guess.

I’m currently un a bio major and i really hate it😭 i’ve always had a dream since childhood to be an engineer but i convinced myslef starting from grade 10 that physics and math aren’t for me they’re too hard even though i’m an A student . Now i hate everything about bio after convincing myself that I love it all those years I’m really considering switching to eng and i’m really scared but excited at the same time , i want to do maths physics and everything i was afraid of i want to challenge myself but every now and then my anxiety holds me back . I want to pursue telecom eng or software because additionally i took some coding classes and loved it . I really hope to get over this fear and apply for next year!
